Sculpture by the Sea 2009

Legend says there's this "Caveman" who lives at Bondi Beach, his home nestled into the cliff is complete with dominoes on a table ready to be played and Winnie the Pooh perched atop a pedestal admiring the views.  During our walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama we passed by his place.

The Caveman's home as seen from the cliffs above.

Yesterday The Caveman was all over the Sydney news, he's been charged with the sexual assault of a woman he "invited back to his place" after meeting her at Sculpture by the Seas.

Here's the rest of what we saw at Sculpture by the Seas 2009:

I believe this is a beach house owner's backyard artistic expression.

Here's a look at my trip to Sculpture by the Sea 2008 if you just can't get enough.

Am I missing something? I don't see the "Pig Face."

Anyhoo, I know I've said it before: You are SO LUCKY to live where you live and see what you see and share it all with us through such gorgeous photography.

Off to check out Gus.

What a very nice day you guys have picked! The photos with the sky and the water behind the sculptures are astonishing!

They're brilliant shots and what a top day it was. Thanks for sharing these. Shocking news about the caveman. He had become a minor local celebrity for his hermit ways.

Tilda- Totally, we were baffled by that too!

JD- I totally couldn't find a pig face either???

Gypsy- Thank you, I am sooo about to take a photoshop class!

Marvin- that's my favorite one too, thanks.

Roangela- Have you gone yet?

JBar- I know! It's ironic that a couple days before we were right there and talking about him.

Gorgeous photos!
Tried to work out what that 2 piece red one is. Is what I think it is?!
Yes, I had heard about the caveman at Bondi, that's pretty creepy.

Great shots--although the caged conference room table hits a little too close to home.

Darnonymous- What do you think it is? I was thinking abstract or a nesty thing-- and you???

Here in Franklin- I hear ya on that.

I always had wondered if someone really lived there. I always saw that stuffed cow on a leash. It wasn't until I saw that on the news that I discovered a person DOES live there. Crazy!! 2 years of living in Australia and I STILL have not been to SBTS.

I haven't, can you believe it? Last year when I saw some photos I promised myself I'd go this year, but I didn't... What a shame!

Rosangela & Elsja- It goes until this Sunday-- get a move on girlfriends, go go go!

As a rule, I tend to avoid people who live in caves. There's usually a reason that someone's home is a hole in the ground.

I sent you an e-mail, did you get it?

Great pictures and what a fabulous place to show off.

Why can't I live near the ocean instead of 10,000 lakes ;)
