My four year old and I went to Norton St. Grocer in Bondi Junction mall today. Now if you are an American in Australia, you will probably be happy for me. And if you are an American in America, you will probably be thinking this is pretty pitiful. Hellman's Mayonaise, Goldfish Crackers, and K.C. Masterpiece BBQ Sauce... kind of sad that this would cause such excitement.
My purchases at Norton St. Grocer today-- big score.
Other fun at our house today:

Btw- what are you doing in Australia-- and where are you?
Are you going to hit the thing at Myers?
I'm about an hour train ride from Sydney.. I am going to myers on sunday.. Can't wait!!! so anxious
Not THAT is one fabulous looking birthday cake!!
Hey, that's a pretty good haul there! :-)
I know, and I'm glad I got this stuff-- we went to Myers today and they literally had like 3 cans of black beans, blue cheese dressing, and diet cherry coke. They said everything flew out of there, nothing was left, and more stuff was coming Monday.
I hate to think what you paid for that haul! Have you checked out the Essential Ingredient in Crows Nest or the grocer at the bottom of DJs in the city? Both have some of our favorite American foods (at terribly inflated prices) You can also find some of the ethnic things you are looking for at Harris Farms? They can surprise you!
Where in Sydney are you? We are in Northbridge...
We're in the Eastern Suburbs about 10 minutes from Circular Quay. Are you the mom from IL?
Yes I am. We are from the Chicago area. Been here since Dec '06. Head over to my blog and you can find my email address and we can get in touch!
and i am desperate for goldfish crackers :(
Nice thoughts..... keep sharing your mind with us.
