It's Not Me, It's You

Ok, that's a lie, it's not you, it's me.

My mummy is here visiting and we've been whooping it up Australian style so incredibly hard, that she's going to sleep for like eight weeks when she gets back to Florida. And there's a bonus: when I say the word "mummy" I still get this hilarious visual of a dead person wrapped in white tape stumbling around. I can't get past it.

So my mom and I, and the kids, and Super Mindy did the cliff walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama, the views are absolutely crazy gorgeous.

Coastal walk Bondi to Tamarama by you.

The bottom right corner shows the sidewalk path you follow, notice the lack of a guardrail? I get pretty freaked out by this kind of thing, many people would think I'm totally a safety fanatic-- then again they may not have met my husband or My Favorite Australian.

The kids stopped at every exercise station along the way and went to town.

And in other news, we're moving because we are still living in a construction zone, and after almost a year and a half we are so, so over it. Okay, that's not the only reason-- we're also moving because our neighborhood is going to hell in a hand basket (see below).

There is Mexican food in Australia? I could find none when I was there. Granted, I was only there for 2 weeks but I never saw one place that looked even remotely close to Mexican. Good to know it is there so if I ever come back I can get some.

Great photos by the way!

Hee,he. I went back and read your post about your favourite friends. Sounds like a typical Aussie dinner party to me (at least where I come from anyway! ) :D

Oh! and my hub says to tell Kristie that Aussie mexican is way better than U.S Mexican. I wouldn't know, but he lived in the States for a while, so he considers himself a conniseur of such things apparently. :D

Aussie Mexican is better than American Mexican? Oh, I have to come back.

Natalie & Kristie- There's just no way Australia has better Mexican food-- unless you compare the worst American Mexican restaurant and the best Australian one. But there definitely are a few good Mexican restaurants down under-- but no where near as many great ones as there are in the U.S. That was a mouthful, ugh.

PITS- I know, it's quite sexy huh?

I think your tacos are the best Mexican food in Sydney. Yummy! Thanks for a fun fiesta!
And I'm going to have to check out that Bondi walk so my kiddos can run around unfettered on the edge of those cliffs.

Rinniez- Glad you're back! Keep in touch girlfriend.

Jenny- Haha, yeah, Old El Paso makes some amazing seasoning packet, but it took my mad cooking skillz to simmer it perfectly right?

Why no cilantro? Blasphemy! no but really, why? ;-)

Natalie, tell your husband I said that Mexican food isn't supposed to be clean. That might help him to to understand the state of Mexican food in America. :-D

No cilantro! Say it ain't so!

Glad you ladies had a caliente Cinco.

Hey, you get points for clearly stating what the rules are. It's so awkward to bring over a bucket of cilantro and then discover it's completely inappropriate. ;-)

Lovely photos. How nice to have such loving family and friends!
