Note to Readers: My children know with all certainty that they cannot fit down the bathtub drain.
Them: Mommy, could we go down the drain?
Me: No, you are too big to go down the drain.
Them: Yes we can.
Me: You are too big to fit down the drain, you couldn't go down-- even if you wanted to.
Them: Yes we can.
Me: Yes, you could definitely go down the drain.
Them: No, we don't want to go down the drain! No, no.
Is it wrong that for the last year I've gotten my kids out of the bathtub by saying, "You'd better get out now or I'm going to open the drain." ?
Shockingly enough, he loved this water toy exhibit at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum last summer.

I love that! I just have to say that I am really enjoying your blog. I am totally fascinated with Australia after visiting 3 years ago and have had thoughts of wanting to live there, it's not in the cards right now so I will just have to live vicariously through you. :)
This makes me want kids. They sound hilarious.
The very reason I take showers. How easy we forget the real dangers in life. Nasty drain monsters cant get me there!!!!
Yes, but living in the Southern Hemisphere, would they go down the drain clockwise, or counter-clockwise? Hmmmmmm.... now I won't be able to sleep, wondering. ;D
This is a completely acceptable form of trickery.
I'm sure if I had children, I would completely fuck them up.
