A couple of corrections are in order. A lojack is a gps system that helps you find your car after its been stolen. What you see in this picture is The Club. Second, that car is a classic and I would love it if I could deal with the headaches of a finding a mechanic for it.
Oh, duh-- I knew that was not a Lojack-- momentary lapse. Ok, no doubt it is a classic of some sort-- but are you going to STEAL it? Well YOU might. :)
Well... I guess if the owner REALLY didn't want it stolen, he/she'd have some fancy-shmancy security system. Instead, he's got The Club.
Someone might steal it. Lots of people steal cars. Maybe he/she lives in a place where cars get stolen a lot? Maybe a lot of cars get stolen in that area? Hmmm..
Florida Girl, My name is Steve. I live in California. I am actually a client/friend of Erika Lederman Leon. She told me about your blog and I was reading it. Very good writing:I am a writer so take pride. Sounds like quite an adjustment. I have lived in the SF Bay Area all my life and think it's very brave to move so far away. I hope that things get easier and become more enjoyable for you. If you don't mind I will check in on your blog avery now and again and see how you guys are doing. I know that there is 'no place like home' and I know you miss Florida, but I will think good thoughts for you guys while you are still down under. Your blog is a great read so keep it up!!
Hey Steve, Thanks for such your encouragement, obviously I need it! My sister lives in SF Bay area too, she's an Dr. of Chinese medicine.
I would love for you to check in on my blog any/all the time! And anything you can do to convince Erika to come visit me would be greatly appreciated!!!
Hey Laura- did you get my email I sent over the weekend? Actaully, did I call or email? I can't remember, but you are so good about getting back to me ususally that I wonder if you didn't get it. It is all moot now, since it was just an invite to get another sitter and move the party over here.
This blog is to chronicle my life abroad as an expat mom with small children.
It's easy to think that moving to Australia would not cause complete culture shock (being that we speak the same language for the most part), but in reality, it's not that simple.
I'm hopeful that at the end of this journey I will refer back to this blog and appreciate everything we've experienced and ultimately survived.
Update June 2014: We have just moved back to Sydney after spending 2.5 years in San Francisco. This is much easier the second time around because my kids already love Vegemite and I speak fluent Aussie.

I didn't even mention the fuzzy dice-- I'd have put the Club on them.

LOL! That breaks my heart... I SO wanted a car just like that. Well it's nice to see that the car's owner is optimistic!
I dunno. I just might need a car like that. And how I WISH I was around when you used your stealthy picture taking talents to grab these shots!!!
I do agree that the car is cool.
