Sculpture by the Sea 2008

Sculpture by the Sea is an exhibit of large sculptures set along the Tamarama to Bondi Beach Coastal Walk. With a backdrop of raging waves and gorgeous cliffs, this is one event in Sydney you do not want to miss.

It may be difficult to determine the size of some of these, but they are all very large.
No further words are necessary, the photos say it all.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.
The people. The Coastal Walk.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.
My Spiderman.

Sculpture by the Sea by you.
My not-Spiderman.

Had a great time today, Sorry we were so quiet and didn't talk much it's just been a big weekend for us and were both extremely exhausted. We got home and took a nap.

There are some things that are best enjoyed on weekdays! Next year I would do this twice-- once with you and once with family, especially since I think going there only once is not enough.

You were standing on the edge of a cliff today and I was totally nervous I would have never gone past the rail-- you are my daredevil friend.

Were you there Sunday??? We were too! How in the world did you get those people free photos? I stood and waited and waited and waited. To no avail. My son loved the fat white marble man atop the hill above bondi. I loved the wings on the hill. What was your fav?

Blue House Mama-
Yes, we were there with SuperMindy (well they had to leave us because the pace at which you go with 3 & 4 yr. olds is pitiful)...

Zoom/wide angle lens-- I shot fast between people from probably somewhat farther away.

Damn, I can't believe I missed the ones you mentioned! We only made it half way before my kids expired.

WOW, those are SO cool! And you got to see them up close IRL!

Is it just me or do the first 2 pics look kind of sexual? Maybe it's just me ;).

Oneal- I vote the 2nd and 5th ones as most sexual!

Yeah, the sculptures are cool, but what's cooler is that you let your boy go as Spiderman. :)
And I thought the same thing about the sculptures, especially the one in three pieces. heehee
